Great Turnout for Radcliffe at the LABC 5k

Radcliffe AC had 22 senior runners at the LABC 5k in Littleborough at the weekend. The 5k road race near Hollingworth Lake boasts great views, aided by Sunday’s sunny morning weather.

 

Khama Banda was first for Radcliffe and 4th overall, in 18mins, 32secs. Club chairperson Donna Cartwright was Radcliffe’s first lady, and 2nd in her age category, with a time of 22:32. Also racing for Radcliffe were: Steven Fawcett (20:05), Marc P Taylor (20:51), Christopher Mihalyi (20:56), Mark Williams (21:35), Mark Garner (21:52), Dominic Parry (22:58), Ethan Malone (24:23), Lisa Antrobus (25:48), David Bartlett (26:20), John Szubert (26:54), Charlotte Holden (28:14), Peter Warr (28:45), Sarah Wilson (28:55), Elaine Bailey (28:58),  David Schofield (29:17), Michael Scott (34:58), Tracy Wroe (35:20), Sara Parry (37:46), Bev Quinton (38:01), and Andy Wheeler (39:02).

 

Radcliffe’s juniors were out in club colours at the weekend, at the Daffodil Doddle 2.2km race. Seth Berger led the team home in 10:06, followed by Indie Curzon (10:10), and Benjamin Tighe (11:45).

 

Elsewhere, Sara Parry ran her first ever 10 miler at the Holly Prince 10 Mile Race, with all proceeds supporting the charity Holly’s Hearts. Sara completed the race near Astley in 2 hours, 10 mins.
