The seniors of Radcliffe AC were involved in two club races during the weekend, with the Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round on Saturday, and the Trotters 5 miler on Sunday.

In the first match of the Run the Moors series of fell races, 6 Radcliffe runners took on the Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round on Saturday morning. The 15km route features a steep climb to the summit of Pendle Hill, followed by a loop of the surrounding moors in challenging terrain. Christopher Mihalyi was first for Radcliffe in 1:33:01, followed by Ian Swan (1:38:08), Mark Garner (1:43:46), Lee Turner (1:44:17), Kathryn Davies (1:55:44), and Lucie Tighe (1:58:58).

18 Radcliffe members were out for the Trotters 5 Mile Trail Race on Sunday morning, part of the Central Lancs Grand Prix. Marc Taylor was first for Radcliffe in 37:34, and Laura Aiken was Radcliffe’s first lady in 46:52. Other results: Christopher Mihalyi (38:51), Michael Kontowtt (39:24), Mark Williams (40:03), Mark Garner (42:02), Alex Field (42:15), Dominic Parry (44:08), Jack Connor (44:23), Ethan Malone (46:36), Kath Biddle (46:59), David Schofield (53:12), Elaine Bailey (53:14), Cath Jones (55:50), Peter Warr (56:17), Helen Kay (58:48), Sara Parry (1:09:16), and Andy Wheeler (1:10:20).

Radcliffe Juniors were out mud bothering at the final meet of the cross country season at the Woodbank Park Cross Country. In the under 11 category George Antrobus completed the 2.5km route in 17:34, followed by Skyler Parry (19:11), and Benjamin Tighe (19:24).

Elsewhere, Kath Biddle ran the inaugural Tibthorpe Loop 14 mile trail race, completing the undulating trails through the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds in 3:02:11.

John Szubert ran the New Longton 10k, bagging a new personal best in the process with a time of 56:03.

Guy Withington completed the Stockport Trail Marathon, also bagging a PB, in 1:56:00.
