Fresh from his Best Newcomer Award for Radcliffe AC in 2024, Khama Banda held on to claim 3rd place finish at the Garstang 10k with a rapid 35mins, 32secs claiming a new personal best in the process.
Overall, there was an excellent turnout for Radcliffe AC at Garstang which was the first club championship race of the season. Steven Fawcett was second for Radcliffe in 40:13, followed by Mark Taylor in 43:16. Radcliffe’s first lady Sheila Jones claimed a fantastic first place in her age category (FV65) with 50:18.

Elsewhere, Alex Field ran Heaton Park Half Marathon in frozen conditions, coming in with a time of 2:05:34. Seth Berger ran the 1.2km juniors race in 5mins, 35secs to finish 7th out of 50 entrants.
