It was a week of ultra-long distances for Radcliffe as Emma Wolstencroft and Neil Greenhalgh competed in God’s Own Backyard Ultra in Leeds. The format of a backyard ultra means that each runner must complete a 4.167 mile loop on the hour every hour, until there is only one person left to complete a loop. Emma managed an impressive 10 loops, missing the cut off for loop 11 by only 19 seconds, whilst Greenhalgh completed 8 loops. Both runners bagged new personal bests for the 50km distance, with the help of a fantastic RAC support crew.
