Three Radcliffe AC members have completed a virtual ultra running challenge.
Kath Davies, Michele Hincks and Sheila McNulty all finished the 108-mile Montane Challenger Spine Race.
The Spine Race is a famous non-stop ultra race along the entire length of the 268-mile Pennine Way, from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in the Scottish borders, which attracts competitors from around the world.
The three Radcliffe runners took on the distance of the shorter Spine Challenger Race, covering the equivalent of the first 108 miles to the North Yorkshire village of Hawes.
They had to complete the distance in the month of January, with Hincks eventually clocking up 135 miles in the allotted time.
Davies completed 110 miles and McNulty, who had to walk most of her challenge due to a foot injury, did 113 miles.
Four more RAC members are also taking on virtual challenges to run the the length of Britain.
Peter Warr is taking part in LeJog, a virtual challenge to run the equivalent of the of the 874 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats in 2021.
He is raising money for three charities: Alzheimers Research UK, Bury homeless charity Red Door and Caritas Action for Refugee Education.
Iain Harris, Mike Scott and Bev Quinton are also taking part in LeJog as a team, and have got off to a flying start by chalking up 166 miles in January.
