A quartet of Radcliffe Athletic Club runners were back in race action after the Covid-19 break.
Alison Howarth said it was “great to be back” after clocking 02:12:43 in Sunday’s Run Tatton Half Marathon.
Three of her teammates also completed the Run Tatton 10k held on Saturday.
It was a return to winning ways for Sheila Jones who was first Vet-65 in 47:24. Kath Davies ran 53:43, followed by Emma Wallace in 1:08:31.
Peter Warr bagged himself an impressive medal when he combined his love of art and running in the virtual Bob Ross 5k Run for the Trees. Named after the famous America painter, proceeds from the race go towards reforesting Bob’s home state of Michigan.
It was the furthest Warr had run since suffering a bad knee injury in January, and he finished in 30:08.
Iain Harris, Bev Quinton and Tracy Wroe completed the Under the Arches 10k at Clifton County Park. It is part of the Greater Manchester North SixPack Marathon Challenge, a series of virtual races on courses around North Manchester which total 26.2 miles.
